SPECIAL TRAIN BOOKINGS

Special trains for the exclusive use of your group may be hired on Sundays from 11am. They operate from Meadmore Junction Station, adjacent to the Jack Tatum Picnic Reserve for a minimum period of one hour and Pine Creek Station for a minimum period of half an hour.

Our trains will carry approx 30 – 35 people per trip depending on the child to adult ratio. We do require that at least one adult travel in every carriage. Each hour of train time will provide four trips. We also offer VIP train transport (Santa or other special guest) to bookings at the Jack Tatum reserve/Pine Creek at no extra cost if required.

Our trains will run regardless of the weather, but we do have an unsuitable weather cancellation policy which applies to bookings at all stations. If by agreement between ourselves and the person who made the booking the weather on the day is thought to be too unsuitable for the passengers to enjoy their ride we will make a full refund of all money paid for the booking as long as we are notified at least two hours before the booked train time. Alternatively, the booking can be rescheduled to another day subject to availability.

Refunds for cancellations for reasons other than the weather will be considered by our Committee. In the case of a cancellation of a booking of the Jack Tatum Reserve the site hire cost will generally not be refunded unless we are able to re book the site.

Please remember that Diamond Valley Railway is a smoke free zone. No smoking is permitted at any of our stations, in the Jack Tatum Reserve or anywhere else on the railway grounds.
