The loco Shed ( Rollingstock Dept. )
The Locomotive fleet consists of models of steam, diesel, and electric outline locomotives owned by the society and by private individuals. All steam locomotives are authentic steam powered units. The non-steam locomotives can be powered in many ways.

Some examples of how our locomotives are powered:
  • Steam
  • Battery-Electric
  • Petrol-Mechanical
  • Diesel-Hydraulic
  • Petrol-Hydrostatic
  • Petrol-Electric
We use a scale 2 1/4 inch auto couplers which
are fitted to most locomotives and rollingstock.
The rolling stock is generally contructed to a
scale of 1/6th full size. Most passenger carrying
carriages are fitted with air brakes and air
reservoir tanks. Some rollingstock is based on
Public Transport Corporation ( Victorian ) prototypes.

The Rollingstock branch is based in the W.G. Pert Workshops situated at the Diamond Valley Station. Before the Nullimbik complex was completed, the workshop was the workshop, the loco storage, and clubrooms. Alterations to the W.G. Pert Workshops is being planned.
