Organisation
This railway has three main branches
to operate it :

ROLLINGSTOCK : Concerns the
construction, maintenance and supervision of all club owned locomotives
and rollingstock. Private locomotives and rollingstock are subject to the
Rollingstock's authority ( concerning storage, tool access workshop usage
). The Rollingstock Branch is based in the W.G. Pert Workshops.

WAY & WORKS : Concerns the
construction, maintenance and supervision of all railway track, buildings
and major infrastructure of the DVR. Way and works are reponsible for parks
and gardens. However, the Way & Works speciality is trackwork ! They
are based in the Nullimbik Workshops/Complex.

SIGNAL & TELEGRAPH : Concerns
the construction, maintenance and supervision of the signalling system.
This Branch is responsible for all signal aspects - from laying cables,
signal panels, signal contruction, signal interlocking, and safeworking
procedures. The point motor installaion is shared with the Way & Works
branch. The telephone system is the responsibility of this branch. They
share the Nullimbik Workshops/Complex with Way & Works, in addition
to the relay cabinets and signal boxes.
The railway is managed by an elected
committee. In additon to the three branches there are several staff positons
within the railway that are appointed by committee :
Station Master , First Aid Officer/s
, Public Relations Officer , Park Liason Officer ,
Bookings Officer , Diamond Rails
Editor , House Electrician , House Plumber , New Members Liaison Officer.
