Construction on the NEW "B" Box.
DVR is getting a new signalbox built, to replace the Old Faithful "B" Box.
The Old "B" Box has had a hard life - with constent use every week, but the real
problems have been those little termites that have enjoyed eating the Box.
The relay room was the first item to be done, to replace thre aging one behind the old box.
IT is a brick building that allws us plenty of room to wire the area anew.
After a extensive consultation with members, and the formation of a sub committee,
the Signalbox was tendered and is under way, well underway. It has progress rapidly
since August 2003. See the photos below for a quick guided tour.
It is now completed and in use, with the aid of a few items out of the old box...
