Freelance design locomotive based on the VR "S" class Diesel Electric.
This loco was the first non steam loco operating by Chelsworth Park Railway.
The loco was originally in the VR Blue & Gold colour scheme, but was painted
green & yellow to celebrate 25 years operation. S300 orignally had a
wooden carved nose that was destroyed in an unfortunate derailment in 1988.
The loco was the mainstay of the railway performing all duties from passenger
duty to signal train operations. It gradually deteriated untill it was offered and sold by tender.
