The carriages initially used on the C.P.R. were as despicted in the 'photo'.
Consisting of plank and box seating with foot boards, these were the forerunners
of the "standard" cars adopted on DVR. Some of the original cars were
scrapped and their components used in converting the remainder to
"standard" cars during 1962.
