Model of Victorian Railways electric suburban EMU. They represent
the swing door carriages which came to be known as "dog boxes"
and which date from 1876. Each motor carriages has a single bogie fitted
with a one traction motor with final chain drive to all wheels with layshafts.
Air brakes & air horns are fitted. Painted in the old V.R. livery of red and grey with black lining and brown interior. The set runs
as a MOTOR/TRAILER/MOTOR combination and can be driven from either end.
Recently it has gained real working scrolls for the destination board.
