These cars were modelled on Victorian Railways 'E' class carriages built around 1910.
They were all long cars with six-wheel bogies although in more recent times a number
have been given four-wheel bogies of later pattern. The 'AE' was a first class car, the 'BE'
second class and the 'BCE' was a composite vehicle with second
class accommodation and compartments for the guard and goods.
Finished in V.R. standard red with grey window sashes and brown interior.
Rumour has it DVR may see another 1-2 of these carriages in the distant future.
